I have been taking photography classes since my freshman
year. I’ve always dabbled in other areas of art such as painting and
drawing, but I decided to expand my interests and delve into the world
of photography. Reaction: It’s actually harder than it looks, at least
if you want a good photo. I have come to enjoy photographing
architecture and people. My concentration for AP Photography will focus
on two different topics. One will be a comparison of poverty in Asia,
the Middle East, and the US. This past summer I visited China and I had
an amazing time; I consider it my third home. It was an endless
photographic opportunity. Being Turkish, I get the chance to travel to
Turkey (my second home) at least once a year, so I always take
advantage of that and take lots of photos. My second concentration will
focus on Dante’s Inferno from the Divine Comedy. I have read it before,
but we are reading it in AP Literature, and it absolutely captivates
me. Evil is fascinating; I will be portraying each circle of Hell in my
photographs.
